Vibgyor High skating instructor, Mustafa Murtaza, who was arrested on July 20 in connection with the rape of a six-year-old student at the school premises, was granted bail by a special court.

However, he could not come out of the prison as he is yet to get bail in a sexual abuse case registered against him at the Whitefield police station.

The police had arrested Mustafa, 30, a resident of Ramakrishnappa Road, near Om Shakti Club, Varthur, from his house on July 20.

He was booked under Pocso Act, 2012, and IPC Section 376 (rape). The police had seized a laptop and had claimed that he had downloaded pornographic content of schoolgirls being raped.

The police jumped to the conclusion that it was Mustafa who raped the victim.
Based on the CCTV footage from the school, the police later arrested Lal Giri, 21, and Waseem Pasha, 28, both gymnastics teachers, in connection with the incident. The police gave Mustafa a clean chit and claimed that Lal Giri  and Waseem Pasha had raped the victim.

Mustafa’s father Murtaza told Deccan Herald that his son is yet to reach home. “I have been told that he got bail and soon would reach home. But, we are yet to see him,” he said.
