Three chains snatched

The City witnessed three chain-snatching incidents in Vijayanagar, Sadashivanagar and Kodigehalli on Thursday.

Two bike-borne men snatched a gold chain weighing 50 gm from Mangalamma, 60, a resident of Moodalapalya. The incident occurred while she was walking to her sister's house on Nagarabhavi Main Road at 6.30 am. Two people on a bike snatched the gold chain from rear and sped away.

Premalatha, 55, a resident of MSR Nagar, who was sweeping in front of her house, had her gold chain weighing 120 gm snatched away at 7 am by two bike-borne men who approached her on the pretext of seeking an address. She raised an alarm and her husband Ravindra gave a chase, but they sped away.

Followed and snatched

Poornima, 41, a resident of Sahakar Nagar, was walking towards a bus stand near her house, when two people following her from behind snatched her 95 gm gold chain and fled.
