Several parts of Odisha were experiencing incessant rain for the last two days disrupting normal life.

Under its impact, heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places over north Odisha districts during the period, it said.

Gusty surface wind with 50 kmph speed and increasing up to 60 kmph might prevail along and off  the Odisha coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.

Meanwhile, heavy rain pounded several parts of the state, including the capital city of Bhubaneswar and adjoining areas, over the last two days, disrupting normal life as low-lying areas were inundated.

While Bhubaneswar recorded 116.7 mm rainfall, the seaside pilgrim town of Puri received 165.8 mm rainfall, a Met office bulletin said.
