The Karnataka Examinations Authority has extended the dates for entering options for the second extended round of counselling as seats from two colleges have been newly added to the matrix. The extended round has been stretched up to 1 pm on Tuesday.

According to a press release from the KEA on Monday, 25 seats from Srinivasa Dental College and 420 seats from Reva Institute of Technology have been added to the matrix.

The officials have specified that inclusion of seats from Reva Institute comes pursuant to interim orders of the High Court and that the admissions would remain subject to the interim order.

According to officials, there might be a possibility of the candidates being allotted other colleges later, if the petition failed.

The seat allotment will be published on the KEA website July 23 after 9 am, according to KEA officials.

Meanwhile, the ComedK completed its second round of counselling for dental and medical seats on Monday.

In the first round, 1,830 candidates participated and took 696 medical and 621 dental UG seats. In the second round, 192 medical and 259 dental seats were offered to 1,234 candidates. All the medical seats were taken. However, 82 dental seats are remaining which will be returned to colleges as per the consensual agreement, according to an official release.
