Work on thermal plants after talks

The Project Managing Director of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Balaji Iyengar said here on Thursday, that the corporation would resume work only after taking into confidence the local people, farmers, activists and leaders.

The NTPC had failed to provide complete details to the local people and hence it had lead to confusion. Only after convincing them that there shall be no harm to them and the environment, the project will resume work, he added.
