Girl gang-raped by 4 men in UP forest

A girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths after tying her lover to a tree in Dahlawala forests of Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnore district.

The victim who hails from Uttarakhand was enjoying an outing with her lover and a woman friend when the shocking incident occurred on Thursday evening, police sources said.The lover, who is also from Uttarakhand, had taken the girl and her friend to the Dahlawala forests on his motorcycle.

 Both the girls are class 11 students at Jaspur college in the state.

While the girl’s friend waited on the road with the bike, the two lovers went inside the nearby cane fields, sources said.

Reports said three youths came there on a motorbike and seeing a lone girl standing on the road stopped and allegedly dragged her to the cane fields to rape her. They spotted the two lovers there.

The reports said the youths called their other friend and then tied the lover to a tree after thrashing the girl badly and tried to gang-rape the two girls. While one of the girls, who had been dragged inside the fields from the road, managed to escape, the other one was gang-raped by the four youths as the lover looked on.

The other girl raised an alarm and on hearing her, some people, who were working in the nearby fields rushed to rescue. 

However, the culprits managed to escape leaving behind their motorbike before the locals could reach there.

Police said the motorcycle was seized and efforts are on to identify its owner. Raids are being conducted to nab the culprits, police officials said.

The victim has been sent for a medical examination.
