CM to campaign for Ramya today

Ramya’s mother, Puttaraju’s son canvass in Mandya

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will attend the publicity meeting scheduled to be held in Mandya on April 14 and campaign in favour of Congress candidate and sitting MP Ramya.

The meeting will be held at Silver Jubilee Park at 2 pm, and will be attended by KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar, District in-charge Minister Ambarish, Energy Minister D K Shivakumar, PWD Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, MLA P M Narendraswamy, former minister C M Ibrahim, district Congress president M S Atmananda and other leaders, according to a press note issued by District Congress general secretary Belur Somashekar.

Family joins

With only a couple of days left for public campaigning for the Lok Sabha election scheduled to be held on April 17, leaders of all parties were seen canvassing for their candidates, across the district, on Sunday.

While the candidates were seen seeking votes at various places of the district, their family members and friends were seen canvassing in favour of them, attracting people and highlighting their party’s achievements.JD(S) candidate C S Puttaraju’s son Shivaraj, party supremo Deve Gowda’s son Dr Ramesh and the party’s national secretary Jaffrulla Khan were seen braving the sun, campaigning across the district.

For Ramya

Ramya’s mother Ranjitha was seen campaigning on behalf of her daughter and Congress candidate in the district. She was accompanied by Congress district working president P M Somashekar, M S Chidambar, Arvind and others.

Former MLA M R Sitaram inaugurated a meeting held at District Balija Sangha, in the city.  District Congress president M S Atmananda, H A Venkatesh, M S Venkatesh Babu and others were present.
