JOIN USA 12-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her house at Muniveerappa Compound in Vyalikaval police station limits on Saturday.
The dead was identified as Devayani, a class VIII student at a nearby school. She was the only daughter of Geetha and Muttu.
According to police, the girl was suffering from some ailment and was on medication. She had gone into depression and was suffering from psychiatric problem as well. She hanged herself from the ceiling fan when she was alone in the house. The incident came to light after her parents returned home in the evening. No death note was found, police said.
Motorcyclist killed
A two-wheeler rider was killed in a road accident near Sai Garden in Whitefield traffic police limits on Saturday night. The victim was identified as Suresh, 45, a resident of Brindavan Layout, Kadugodi.
The accident occurred after the driver of a speeding truck lost control over his vehicle and mowed down Suresh. He came under the wheels of the truck and suffered grievous injuries. Passersby and traffic police rushed him to Vydehi Hospital where he died, police said.
