Actor Vijay’s fantasy flick Puli released last Thursday across the world to mixed reviews. Critics have panned the movie citing reasons like poorly developed characters, weak execution and more. However, it seems like the film has many K’town admirers, as many stars expressed their liking for the big-budget movie after watching it.
Director Lingusamy was the first one from the film fraternity to shower praise on Puli — the ace filmmaker said that the movie was a perfect entertainer for children and lauded the technical aspects of the film. Actors like Jayam Ravi, others too appreciated the efforts of the Puli crew for introducing Tamil audiences to a different experience, through a video clip. Actor Rajinikanth is the latest to join the bandwagon.
Reportedly, he watched the film on Sunday and was impressed with the way it was made. According to a source, Rajini was all praise for the performances of Vijay and Sridevi, and termed the film a thrilling entertainer for family and children. Released as a trilingual flick, the Hindi version of the movie seems to have sunk and its Telugu version too did discouragingly.
