Emraan Hashmi and Gautam Gulati spotted in London for 'Azhar' biopic

The film is based on the personal and professional life of Mohammed Azharuddin
Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi who was last seen in ‘Hamari Adhoori Kahani’ has started work on his next film ‘Azhar’. The biopic that is based on the professional and personal life of Indian cricketer, Mohammed Azharuddin, is currently being shot in London.
Emraan who will be stepping into the cricketer’s shoes, was spotted out on a stroll on the streets of London. Shooting and prep for the film began late last month. The star tweeted a picture of the clapper and asked fans for their good wishes.
We also spotted television heartthrob Gautam Gulati of ‘Bigg Boss’ fame, sporting a mustache as he arrived in London on Saturday. The star, who will be making his acting debut in this film, will be seen playing cricketer Ravi Shastri.
The film will reportedly highlight the cricketers much-talked about affair and marriage to actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Nargis Fakhri has been roped in to play that role, while Prachi Desai will be seen playing his wife Naureen.
Towards the end of his career the Azhar was accused of match-fixing, which will also be another major focus of the film. 'Azhar' is directed by Tony D’Souza and has been scripted by Rajat Aroraa. The film is slated to release on 13 May 2016.
