Cricketer Irfan Pathan will be making an entry on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa this week as a wild card entry. And he confesses that he is not a dancer. “I’m a non-dancer but the show is about the journey of non-dancers anyway. Even though I took time to accept the offer, I look at it as a challenge. It’s been just a few days and remembering steps along with the music is quite difficult. But I’m working on it with my choreographer Suchitra,” he says.
Irfan goes on to reveal that his only experience of dancing are from weddings where he performed. “I am more of a singer. But now that I’ve taken the plunge into dancing, it will help me stay active till the cricketing season begins,” he says. All his earnings from the show will be donated to his foundation Cricket Academy of Pathans. “It’s a self-funded foundation that helps children who are talented but don’t have funds to pursue cricket.”
