At a time when native Tamil films struggle to find screens for their release, here is a dubbed version of a Tollywood movie Yevadu which is slated to hit 300 theatres. Titled Magadheera in Tamil, the highly commercial masala movie has Ram Charan and Allu Arjun as the male leads and hotties Shruti Haasan, Amy Jackson and Kajal Aggarwal in their most glam avatars as heroines.
One may recall that the Telugu film Magadheera was a blockbuster hit which also had Ram Charan and Kajal as the lead pair.Director Rajaraja, known for his skills in writing dialogues for Tamil dubbed films says, “Among the T’town heroes, Ram Charan’s Tamil dubbed movies do good business in K’town.
Moreover, the heroines turn liberal with their skin show when they act in Telugu flicks. Hence, these dubbed movies have a sizeable market in B and C centres. The number of audiences turning out at theaters for a dubbed movie is double the amount than an original Tamil film.”
