Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is busy with his upcoming film Gabbar Singh 2 and the shooting is going on in full swing. Interestingly, the actor is taking a personal interest in the film and is even involved in selecting the right actors. For the main villain, after going through many profiles, he has finally selected Marathi actor Sharad Kelkar.
In fact, Sharad played the villain in last year’s highest grossing Marathi film Lai Bhaari. Now, Pawan is introducing him to Tollywood with Gabbar Singh 2. “In the beginning, the unit had doubts about him. But after the first schedule, Sharad surprised everybody with his performance,” says a unit source.
Pawan’s selection wasn’t wrong and the actor spoke a few encouraging words with Sharad. “Pawan wanted to cast someone with a good physique and also a thinking actor who could deliver a performance, so he roped in Sharad,” added the source. Now, the unit will start its second schedule in and around Hyderabad.
