Producers try to make 'Khamoshiyan' actress Sapna Pabbi the new Mallika Sherawat

Mumbai: Does erotica sell? Going by the demand for it in Bollywood it would seem sex is foremost on Indian audiences’ minds.

This line of thought seems to have gripped the producers of the Sapna Pabbi-Ali Fazal-Gurmeet Chowdhary triangle Khamoshiyan.

It is no surprise that Pabbi, who was last seen playing Anil Kapoor’s daughter in the series 24 ,is being projected as the new sex bomb in town.

“She is not like that at all. This is all a marketing strategy, to project her as the next Mallika Sherawat. Sapna is just going along with it,” says a concerned friend, adding that the last straw was the idea of a “midnight chat” with men.

Says the friend, “We were all horrified when the idea was mooted. At that time of the night the only men chatting with Sapna would not be gentleman. The though was horrific and not cool at all.”

Apparently the idea of a midnight chatting session has now been dropped.

“It was just not happening. We all felt concerned about the way Sapna was being projected. But this is her big ticket to Bollywood and she doesn’t want to come across as a spoilsport,” says the friend.
