Superstar Rajinikanth was in a good mood on Monday as he kicked off the Telugu promotions of his upcoming film Lingaa.
Praising director K.S. Ravi Kumar, he said, “It’s not easy to complete a film in a short time. Moreover, the subject is pre-Independence era and we used elephants, horses and thousands of artistes. But still we completed the film in six months and the credit goes to the director.
“The present generation of directors should learn from him how to complete a film in a short time.”
The superstar, in a lighter vein added that Baahubali was a completely different film and did not fall in this category.
“Rajamouli is a different director and he is going to be the number one director in India. I know the subject and I have also seen a few scenes… hats off to him. I would like to work with him in the future; we have to see how it works,” he adds.
Coming back to Lingaa, Rajinikanth said, “It’s not about doing action scenes or other things, but acting with two beautiful women that is the difficult part.
I never struggled in my first film while dancing for a duet song, but in this film I was sweating before I even started my duet song with Sonakshi Sinha.”
He added that when God wanted to punish 60-plus actors, he puts a few duet songs for them.
Continuing on a lighter vein, the actor said, “Allu Aravind asked me about my next project and I replied ‘you first look for a good subject for Chiranjeevi who is looking out for a good story for his 150th film’.”
