Dhanush and Trisha posted a selfie together on social media one that created a buzz about the two actors working together. So, will they soon be seen on screen together?
Dhanush and Trisha, who have been in tinseltown for more than a decade, were supposed to come together for the multiple-award-winning Vetri Maaran Tamil movie, Aadukalam.
Trisha even went for the first schedule of shooting in Madurai, but for some reason, backed out of the project. Later, Taapsee was brought on board. Now, after a long time, speculations run high that the two are teaming up for a movie, directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker Velraj, who delivered the recent blockbuster Tamil flick, Velaiyilla Pattadhari, with Dhanush.
Velraj told DC in an earlier interview that he already narrated the one-liner of his script to Dhanush and he had liked it. Though he confirmed the project, he denied that actress Anandhi fame was approached for the heroine’s role.
Now, we hear that Trisha, who is focusing more on her career now and is on a signing spree, is the first choice for the female lead. A little birdie also informs us that there is yet another heroine who would be sharing screen space with Dhanush.
However, it looks as though the project will commence only after the actor completes his upcoming film with Balaji Mohan. Neither Dhanush, who is away in the US, celebrating the success of VIP nor Trisha could be contacted. Velraj was also not available for comment.
Meanwhile, at a time when it has become a rarity in Tamil cinema to hit a century run, Dhanush’s VIP has touched the 100-day mark successfully and the actor took to Twitter and thanked everybody, including the press, who made it happen.
He wrote, “I thank my wife Aishwarya for all the understanding and providing me a peaceful home and I thank my mom and dad for constantly praying for me and protecting me.”
