All is well with Kamal Haasan

A visit to the hospital with a bruised face led to the interpolated news

Chennai: The news about Kamal Haasan getting admitted into hospital at Thodupuzha after he developed breathing difficulties due to a nose injury while shooting for Papanasam went viral on Thursday.

It panicked his legion of fans across the globe. Now, with the Ulaganayagan himself clarifying that this was a rumour and that he was not actually injured, his fans can heave a sigh of relief now.

“Before various new ailments are thrust upon me, I hasten to clarify that all is well. It is not true that I was injured while shooting. It was a make up rubber prosthetic that slipped into my nasal passage and had to be carefully removed under medical supervision.

It was a stunt scene; so I had simulated injuries on the face. A visit to the hospital with a bruised face led to the interpolated news. I am all right,” said a statement from the actor.

Sources said that the doctors at the hospital, who are avid fans of his, even took pictures with the Nayagan star who posed patiently with a smiling face despite his discomfort.

We hear that shooting resumed later after he had had a few hours of rest. One may recall that Kamal was hospitalised in the city due to food poisoning last month and was later discharged the next day.
