Hyderabad: Director Srinu Vaitla has apologised to the producers of Aagadu for the film’s debacle and has also offered to do a film for free, says a source. The director had been widely criticised for not handling the subject well and also for inserting satirical dialogues in the film. Other than that, his remuneration was also very high. “The director now wants to do a film for the producers free of cost,” says a close source. “They (the producers) had put a lot of money in the film and had never intervened during shooting.
Whatever Srinu Vaitla had asked for he was given,” says the source, adding that the producers have not yet responded to the director’s offer. “The producers are now concentrating on their next project which is going to be a small film. They have also got assurances from Mahesh Babu that he will make another film with them once his commitments are over,” adds the source.
