Hrithik and Sussanne went to counsellors before separating: Lawyer

Mumbai: Mrunali Deshmukh is a prominent divorce lawyer, and has handled many high profile divorce cases like Aamir Khan-Reena Dutta, Aditya Chopra-Payal Chopra, Karisma Kapoor-Sunjay Kapur and the more recently, Leander-Rhea and Hrithik-Sussanne. For the first time, she has opened up about the much talk about divorce cases of Leander-Rhea and Hrithik-Sussane. Regarding celebs she explains, “ They must be having their set of stress. Sometimes an extra marital relationship causes the problem. May be tolerance and newness goes away. There is a lack of adjustment."

On Leander-Rhea case, she was quoted in Absolute India, “ I can’ talk much about it but yes, a domestic violence case has been filed on behalf of Rhea in Bandra court and he has filed for the custody of the child. As she is the mother, so she will get the custody. She had to go through a lot because of him and then his father interfered. When a relationship starts getting sour, then everything seems big.”

Regarding Hrithik and Sussanne she said, “They are just two people who are doing well in their professional life but are unable to get along, though there is a long 16-17 year relationship and two children involved. It was like a fairy tale romance so how can such things happen. There is a mutual consent petition, which has been filed in the court. They have gone through counselling and have taken all sorts of professional counsellors and that’s how later on they decided to separate. They went to counsellors and then figured out that its not working. They can still reconcile as divorce will happen only in the end of October so if it happens before that, it will be all good.”
