Humaima Malik scared of Pakistan's reaction to 'Raja Natwarlal'

The Pakistani actress chose not to elaborate on her country's audience topic

Mumbai: Her predecessors may not have made a mark in Bollywood, but that doesn’t bother Pakistani actress Humaima Malik from trying her hand at Hindi films. After rising to fame with the hit film Bol in 2011, Humaima will make her B’wood debut with Raja Natwarlal.

She says, “I’m anxiously waiting for the audience to give their feedback. I’ve come to India a few times before. Honestly, I don’t see much difference between Indians and Pakistanis. We speak the same language and have similar cultures.”

We remind Humaima that Pakistani actresses such as Meera and Veena Malik who’ve made unsuccessful attempts to make a mark in Bollywood were slammed by Pakistan for adopting Western ways. Is she ready for the big war of ideologies between the two countries? “I’m confident about getting accepted by the Indian audience. But I’m scared of my own country,” she said.

The actress, however, chose not to elaborate on the topic.
