Mumbai: Gauhar Khan has been finalised as the host for Star Plus’ upcoming talent hunt, India’s Raw Star. But turns out she wasn’t the first choice for it. Claudia Ciesla of Balma fame, who also made an appearance on Bigg Boss, was the original choice to play the host. But since the judge, Honey Singh wasn’t convinced of her, the channel approached Gauhar. Our source says, “Honey suggested that someone who is popular on social networking sites should be the host. After a lot of brainstorming, the show’s team zeroed in on Gauhar to play the host.”
Over the weekend, buzz doing the rounds was that Harshad Arora (Zain from Beintehaa) is dating co-star Gunjan Vijaya (who plays his sister-in-law on the show). Upset fans took to trolling Gunjan and even other actors from the show (on Twitter), demanding a clarification on the same, since their onscreen roles and relationship are far from romantic. Owing to the buzz, Harshad’s PR team swiftly swung into damange control mode and said that the two are just friends. Namrata Pathak, who plays Shazia on the show Tweeted, “I am not going to entertain any questions on whether Harshad and Gunjan are dating, so please do not ask me. Sincere apologies.”
We hear Disha Parmar aka Pankhuri from Pyaar Ka Dard Hai was caught in a foul mood at a recent awards ceremony, thanks to a wardrobe malfunction. An eyewitness says, “The actress was all excited about her outfit that was finalised days in advance. But on the day of the event there were some measurement issues and the dress tore. Disha was very annoyed and walked off into her vanity van but returned and completed the act that she had to perform at the event.”
