Chennai: Actor Vinay who is in the midst of the shooting of Saran’s film, tentatively titled Aayirathil Iruvar, and has just canned a few scenes in Tirunelveli, says the film has all the ingredients of a typical Saran film. The Endrendrum Punnagai star plays a double role for the first time in his career.
“The film has an ensemble cast with several twists and turns. Though I play dual roles, the characters aren’t brothers or father-son. Also, there is an intriguing grey shade attached to many characters. This is my second film with Saran after Modi Vilayadu. The crew is aiming for a September or October release,” he adds.
Meanwhile, he is also starring in Sundar C’s upcoming horror thriller, Aranmanai, which he deems is a well packaged commercial flick, in which he plays “a middle class husband, sharing screen space with Hansika and Andrea.” They have just finishied shooting at Pollachi for 10 days.
Vinay is also cast in lensman-turned-filmmaker G. Ramesh’s debut movie about Indians living abroad.
