Nawazuddin Siddiqui to star in Kapil Sharma's Bollywood debut 'Bank Chor'
Nawazuddin Siddiqui himself will be seen in his first ever comedy film
Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui — who has always been associated with serious cinema — is now gearing up for his first-ever comedy film.
According to industry sources, Nawaz has been signed by YRF to play the parallel lead alongside Kapil Sharma in the upcoming film Bank Chor.
When we quizzed Nawaz about the challenge of matching up to Kapil’s famed comic timing, however, he gave us a slightly evasive reply. “Yes I’ve met the makers of Bank Chor. Hopefully, things should materialise soon,” Nawaz said.
“I’ve always wanted to try comedy. I’ll let you know when we close the deal,” he added. While Bank Chor will mark the debut of Kapil’s film career, it’ll also be Nawaz’s first attempt at a laugh riot.
The unusual casting and sharp dialogues should make for an interesting combination indeed!
