Mumbai: With a popular RJ taking on direction, this was one of the most expected movies of the year. And now it might just be the most forgettable! 'Huchudugaru' (translate to Mad Boys) directed by Pradeepa, is indeed a 'mad' experience for the audience who are tried throughout the movie which has no entertainment, barring a few good numbers.Actor Ravi Shankar is the only saving grace with his negative portrayal.

The storyline has four irresponsible illiterate village boys who decide to kill a local don in Bengaluru. How and why they set out is the crux of the story-line which painfully ends with one of the boys being killed before they return to their village. Set in a village nearby Nanjangud in Mysore, these boys live with no fear or responsibility until one of them loses a great deal of money while gambling. A stranger helps them in distress and the twist in the tale ensues.
While the story kicks off with a promise, it soon falters, posing a challenge to an already bored audience! The boys reach Bengaluru and on the way, one of the boys ends up falling in love. The director seems to be greatly influenced by the famous scene in DDLJ where Shahrukh Khan lends a Kajol a hand when she tries to board the train. In Huchudugaru, the boy who seems to fall in love often, does the same on various occasions.
On reaching Bengaluru, the search for Maari (played by Ravi Shankar) continues. Soon they are chased by the Maari and one of the boys is seriously injured. Surprisingly, he survives and after being hospitalised, he is helped by a stranger, who runs a small hotel which (coincidently) is located right in front of Maari’s house. Watch the climax to find out more.
