Shivamogga: Eshwarappa lashes out at Yeddy for announcing candidate names

Daijiworld Media Network - Shivamogga

Shivamogga, Mar 4: Even though BJP National President Amit Shah has said that the list of final candidates to contest elections from the different constituencies of Karnataka will be released after the internal party survey, BJP state chief B S Yeddyurappa continues to announce names.

Expressing his displeasure, opposition leader in Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa has made it clear that Yeddyurappa’s announcement of candidate names in some constituencies is not valid. Even in Shivamogga urban constituency, the candidate is yet to be finalized.

Speaking to the media persons in Shivamogga on March 3, he said the reporters should question Yeddyurappa on why he announces candidate names when the list is not yet finalized.

The survey is still in progress. The names of candidates in 224 constituencies will be released by the party high command, Eshwarappa confirmed.

BJP will organise a convention of backward classes on March 10 at Kudalasangama, Bagalkot, and at Kaginele in Haveri on March 25, he informed.

The BJP is a divided house in Karnataka ans so outside talent is called for to fight the elections on their behalf. The last BJP rule also saw heavy infighting and corruption. Better to keep them away from Karnataka so that we could enjoy peace, harmony and good administration provided by Siddaramiah.

Every firm, govt or pvt, fetches it's max potential output by replacing weak minds by energetic ones. It's only for the better running of the firm. Don't our country need a better running? So my opinion is to fix a retirement age for them too.

Sad state of affairs for BJP in Karnataka. They have reached such level of 'slavery' of the High Command that their State chief and CM candidate does not even have the freedom to choose candidates for the upcoming elections. What a paradox! BJP marked its emergence in Indian politics by opposing two of Congress' worse 'enemies', that is, Dynasty politics and 'High Command' culture! But today BJP itself has gotten into the same web. Congress under Indira Gandhi started strangulating the regional leadership and controlling the state units from Delhi. This resulted in weakening State units and local leadership. If Congress is suffering today, it is largely because it does not have influential local leaders whose personal ability and charisma can fetch votes to the party in elections. Wherever they have strong local leadership such as Punjab and Karnataka, they have been faring well compared to other states. But look at BJP led by MoSha. They are doing just everything that Congress did once. They are appointing leaders who they feel won't revolt against their Central leadership and those who remain at their beck-n-call. Without Amit Shah's consent, State leaders cannot even breathe in freely; let alone finalising and announcing candidates for election. They are on a mission to destroy themselves by destroying the local leadership and local leaders. Yeddy for sure won't become the CM in Karnataka even if BJP wins because he's already 75 and the only place he has in BJP is Margdarshak Mandal. But BJP needs his name and mass presence to win votes and if they win, they will appoint someone else who is not as strong as Yeddy and who will take every instruction from MoSha as CM. But Yeddy has no more chance of becoming CM. The High Command Culture, the Coterie culture of Congress is now part of BJP where Amit Shah even decides candidates for party's internal committees, for local body polls etc. Shourie was right when he said 'BJP is everything that Congress was, plus cow'.
