Mangaluru, Jan 6: Ashwyn D'silva secured a gold medal in the junior A boys category while his sister, Ashel D'Silva won a silver medal in junior C girls category in the 14th National Ice skating championship.
The Ice skating championship was conducted by the Ice skating Association of India on January 2 and 3 and was held in Gurugram, Haryana.
The siblings are part of the Indian short track speed skating team and have been participating in international events for over a year.
They are now under the tutelage of Avadhut Tawade, ice skating coach of India.
Ashwyn and Ashel are the children of Alwyn D'Silva (Silva Earth Movers) and Asha D'Silva (corporator).
