Belagavi: Shocking - One-year-old baby killed by father and grandmother over dowry

Daijiworld Media Network – Belagavi (EP)

Belagavi, Dec 5: In a heart-wrenching incident, a one-year-old baby was killed allegedly over dowry by his own father and grandmother at Kotebagilu, Hukkeri taluk here. The incident came to light on Tuesday, December 5.

The deceased child has been identified as Joel Namadeva Naduvinakeri.

The mother of the child has alleged that she was being harassed for dowry and her infant was killed by her husband and mother-in-law to avenge their anger.

The mother along with the child was staying in her parental house in Dandeli for the last one year and had come to her husband's house only ten days ago. She said that she was sent out on Friday, December 1 on some pretext. "While I was away, the father of the child and the grandmother poured pesticide on the child and killed him," she alleged.

A case has been registered in Hukkeri police station.

with all respect to the little killed baby,I have one doubt, whether baby was killed really by grand mother and father.I think it is quite possible that mother herself killed the baby ,so that to teach a lesson to the inlaw and husband about long quarreling about dowry ,so that it should pain them .and would they say now.Thats my answer to your dowry issue like. But thats my thought.might be exact what it happened. In law and husband may not kill baby.Afterall Father loves a baby boy more than a girl.whoever it is really heartaching ,no humanity and heartless.Such people shouldnt marry and plan a family.Innocent child had to giv e his life for senseless stonehearted people ,that too own parent/family person.RIP baby.may you live happily above withh anels, which your parents didnt allow here in this evil world.

anything might have happened... unless police investigate the case properly... if it was killed just like that pouring pesticide , the dead body should be available... as some one highlighted ... it's a Kaliyug, anything may happen... father can kill the baby... mother can also kill it... there are instances.... so proper and unbiased investigation may reveal the truth. Any ways, for no sin of it's own, infant lost it's life. Really bad... what a world we are in... RIP

Record the statement from them about killing a one-year-old kid. Don't do any further investigations, directly hang them in public.

This is pure Kalyuga. Nowadays the news that comes is 7 month pregnant died when she jumped out from a vehicle to avoid rape, 4 year old raped in a Kolkatta school, Father raping his daughter and so on.
Such incidents such that humanity is no longer there. If humanity is not there in a human then the human is not a human but a devil. Devils such be wiped out to serve a message to other devils in the society that this will be their fate also. Of course this needs to be done through quick effective and efficient justice system.

Dear Jamal, please do not be carried away by the word 'lynching'. You are in Abudhabi and may not be aware, the day to day events in India. Other than cow, lynching is carried out on rapists, thieves and child kidnappers in India very often. Hence, considering the gravity of the crime, the word 'lynching' used here seems not inappropriate.

CRUEL AND GRUESOME. THIS IS AN ATROCIOUS ACT. Hope the law comes down severely upon the guilty. This is indeed a police case and hope the father and grand-mother of the innocent child are booked and awarded life imprisonments by The Court.

RIP little angel. You are back to creators arms from this cruel world.

I think yoga & meditation should be made compulsory for all. It is the hatred & instant action based on anger results in such actions.

May almighty bless mother to recover from this grief.
