Mumbai: Senior Konkani writer Ronald Pereira Angelore passes away

Mumbai, Sept 8: Senior Konkani writer Ronald Pereira Angelore passed away on Friday, September 8 at Vikhroli here.

Ronald Pereira, who was born and brought up in Angelore in Mangaluru, had settled in Mumbai for many years. He was not keeping well for the past two years.

Pereira wrote 16 novels, around 120 short stories, nearly 50 poems and approximately 600 articles on various subjects.

In his literary career spanning over 45 years, he was known for simplicity in literature. He was liked by masses as well as classes.
