TV actor Amit Tandon's wife Ruby arrested in Dubai


New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI): One of the popular telly actor Amit Tandon, who first rose to fame with Indian Idol is back in news but this time it's not a very pleasant one. The TV actor's wife Ruby Tandon, who is a dermatologist by profession has been reportedly arrested and is currently in a Dubai Jail.

Sometime back Amit and wife Ruby were in news over their decision to separate and now this yet another shocking report has left the fans saddened. IndianExpress.com quoted Amit as saying, “Yes, she is still there and we are trying our best to get her out soon. I will be flying to Dubai next week to once again plead for her innocence.”

The report mentions that Ruby was held in remand at Al Raffa jail after someone from Dubai Health Authorities complained against her. Further, the report claims that her bail has also been rejected once.

Amit further told IndianExpree.com, “We are really saddened by this as we believe that Ruby has been framed. She has been doing a wonderful job and someone levied false accusation on her which caused the trouble. We believe in the judicial authorities and are hopeful that she will be back home soon.”

Amit and Ruby have a daughter together.
