Jamiyyatul Falah Jeddah unit holds 29th AGBM

Jeddah, May 27: The 29th annual general body meeting of Jamiyyatul Falah city unit was conducted recently at The Village Restaurant, Azizia which was attended by a good number of members and guests.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Sayyed Asif. The dignitaries were then welcomed to the dais by the moderator Mohammed Mansoor.

The outgoing president Iqbal Mirza in his welcome address extended his thanks to all the executive committee members of Jamiyyatul Falah for their trust in him for the past two years as president of the unit. He ruminated the generous support of each of the members and their contribution towards the noble cause. He welcomed all the life members, patrons and guests to the 29th AGBM.







General Secretary Khaleel Ahmed Marnad presented the secretary’s annual report to the audience. It described how Jamiyyatul Falah is concerned and committed to the development of the poor community in undivided coastal districts of Karnataka state. In his annual report Khaleel briefed about the activities and events conducted in the corresponding year 2016 – 2017. Treasurer Nazir Ahmed Karkala presented the financial report.

Chief guest of the event Ayub Janjani (correspondent - BBC Urdu Services KSA) emphasized the importance of the social welfare of the community and their responsibility towards the under privileged in the community. He apprised and explained how Jamiyyatul Falah has served the community with the only intention to seek reward from the Almighty Allah. He desired that the organisation reaches each and every deserving family by providing shelter, food, educational support, healthcare systems. He also prayed that Almighty Allah strengthen each member of this fantastic organisation and enables them to serve the community in a better way.

S M Shafy and Habeeb Rahaman conducted the election process of the new executive committee for the year 2017 - 2018, comprising 35 members including new faces. The new executive committee decided to conduct the office bearers’ selection at the same time and elected Mohammed Saheb Beluvai as the unit's new president for the year 2017- 2018.

The following members have been selected as office bearers:
Vice president 1: Khaleel Ahmed Marnad
Vice president 2: Faizee Abdul Razzak Shaikh
General secretary: Ansar Shaikh
Joint secretary: Shaikh Saoud Yakoob
Treasurer: Nazir Ahmed Karkala
Joint treasurer: Zahid Hussain
Event manager: B P Abed
NRCC representative 1: Iqbal Mirza
NRCC representative 2: Mohammed Mansoor
NRCC Representative 3: S M Jafer

Lastly, Rafiq Mudubidry delivered the vote of thanks, followed by lunch. The meeting concluded with dua by Mohammed Iqbal.
