J&K: Cow vigilantes attack family of nomads including child, four arrested

Jammu, Apr 22 (IANS): Four members of a self-styled 'gau rakshak' (cow vigilante) group were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district after they attacked and injured a nomadic family of five including a 9-year old girl and stole all their livestock, police said here on Saturday.

A hunt was on to arrest the other members of the group.

"Police parties have been moved out to arrest all the members of the group that attacked a family of nomadic goatherds on Thursday and decamped with their livestock," a senior police officer said here.

Besides arresting four members of the group, police had restored the family's cattle, sheep and goats.

"An FIR has been lodged. We have arrested some persons involved in the attack on the nomad family moving with their livestock -- cattle, sheep and goats on April 20 night," a senior police officer told IANS.

The group had attacked the family with iron rods during Thursday night in Talwara area of Reasi.

At least, now, bhakts should know who are the real cattle thieves. Free hand by cow government to thieves disguised as gau rakshaks are real cattle thieves who are legally stealing cattle. Abhi tho doodh ka doodh paani ka paani ho gaya. Disable their spinal cord. Everything will be normal.

This is case of theft and retaliation.
If you call the owners of livestock as cow vigilantes, so be it. They should be vigilant about their farm and animals.

This is the special quality of Bhakts. When they are caught red hand in cattle robbery, immediately Gau Rakshaks supporters disown them. That means J&K police has given wrong information ? Aankey kolo bhakton. It is proved beyond doubt that Cattle thieves are not only from minority but others are doing it and blaming on minority.

That's because harmless defenceless nomads with child are easy targets for them. Instead can they show thier daring, valor and love for gau Matha with the terrorists roaming in J&K???. Bunch of utter cowards so called cow vigilantes.
