Hubballi: Next elections to be fought under Siddu, no move to replace Parameshwara: Digvijaya

Daijiworld Media Network - Hubballi

Hubballi, Apr 18: Congress will fight the next state Assembly elections under the leadership of chief minister Siddaramaiah, said Congress leader and party in-charge of Karnataka state Digvijaya Singh.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday April 18, Digvijaya Singh said, "We will contest the next Assembly elections in 2018 under the leadership of Siddarmaiah, but the party legislators will elect the next chief minister.

"There is absolutely no dissent or differences within the Congress party in Karnataka. There is no proposal to change the KPCC president either, as reported in a section of the media. Dr G Parameshwara will continue to lead KPCC until the conclusion of the next elections," he said.

He was responding to media reports that minister M B Patil was likely to replace Parameshwara as president of KPCC.

Congratulating the party workers and leaders on the recent bypoll wins in Nanjangud and Gundlupet, he said, "BJP president Yeddyurappa was saying before the elections that the Lingayat community, which is in majority in these constituencies, would support him. But Congress won in both the places, indicating that the Lingayats are with the Congress."

He also said he was aware that some Congress members were talking openly against the party, and added that action would be taken against them.

If we assess the current karnataka govt. to the previous BJP government, the present congress govt has done better than before. when it comes to GSDP, its improved significantly and infrastructure, job creation and rural development has been developed to a significant extent. In my personal opinion i would rate this govt 8 out of 10. still there is long way to go. the administration done by Siddu is praiseworthy and the stand he had taken during the cauvery water criris is appreciated. in whatever might be the situation, siddu has showed he is a true fighter and a mass leader not only among backward communities but all sections of the society. in all the aspect, we can see the govt taking huge steps. be it bangalore development, which is improving in a big way and industrial development going on in fast pace. the annabhagya program which was very much appreciated by the dharmasthala dharmadhikari shri Veerendra Heggade.
The previous BJP govt was busy making money for themselves and same time stoked communal flame in the beautiful coastal region of our state. Our very own mangalore was always in wrong light for pub attcks, church attacks etc. and the loot by reddy brothers and not to forget the kickbacks allegation of Yedyurappa and denotifiction, The marcopolo bus procurement scam, and industrial development was taken a backseat due to high amount of corruption in bureaucracy.Hope the present govt, develop karnataka into model state, whihc was recently recognised by India today and Arun jaitley sir and jaitley himself presented the award for karnataka interms of best state economy to Siddaramaiah.
I would even say that in m home district Udupi under the leadership of Pramod madhwaraj, Udupi has grown leaps and bounds with the introduction of KSRTC buses, good roads, basic nfrastructure and robust and effective governance.

Parameshwara is lucky. Otherwise he would have become "last congress CM of Karnataka". Now that unfortunate tag will be with Siddu.

It doesn't matter Congress will fight election Siddu or Parameshwara. But as long as Digvijaya Singh is incharge of Karnataka Congress, there is less chance of Congress winning !!!!!!!!.

Karnataka is surely proud of Siddhu. The prime reason is his humanism. He treats the poor well. He is meatarian and averse to Brahmanic dogmas, beliefs and rituals. He does not make use of religion for politics. His politics is of the poor and for the poor. Feed the hungry, defend the weak and empower Karnataka through creation of jobs and social harmony. He is an AHINDA man and he will soon release the backward class report with an agenda to empower the real backwards. The party president is a Dalit. Minorities, Dalits and OBCs make up 75% of Karnataka population. There is no way Siddhu could lose. It is sad for the BJP. Their party president is a corrupt leader who was jailed as CM for his corruption. With Siddhu they cannot even dream of coming to power in the state. Sure they will create some riots, shout against Muslims and even create some communal tensions. I am sure Siddhu will be tough now on wards against these guys determined to destroy Hindutva in Karnataka. Good Hindus who desire peace and development surely would join Siddhu.

Siddu led INC has focused on key issues such as jobs, infrastructure, welfare schemes etc.., whereas bjparty focuses on trivial issues such as people's food habits, others culture/practices, anti-romeo squad.

People of Karnataka are wise and judicious, they very well know how to draw the line between religion and politics.
