Reliance Jio TV : After Internet, Jio plans to provide TV channels at cheapest rates; see details

Reliance Jio has become the forerunner in Telecom industry, now it’s planning to expand in the DTH service and IPTV services. The company is developing plans to provide services in broadband as well as in television sector. According to some reports and Rumour, Jio is also working on a new service called JioHomeTV. Though, there is not an official statement has been released regarding this.

According to the reports TelecomTalk, this new service will provide the SD channels in RS 200 monthly plan and all the HD channels will be available in the minimum price of Rs 400. Jio has also listed these plans on their official app MyJio. However, This new service could t replace he JioHomeTV will replace the forecasted.


Speculations are Reliance Jio is testing from last some years i.e. Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service for its JioHomeTV. eMBMS is an advanced technology designed to give the efficient delivery of broadcast services. Last Reliance Jio made an announcement that they have tested the eMBMS service across India and it is successfully working.

After bringing the revolution and making the data package cheaper, Reliance became successful to facilitate the people who were not still connected to the Internet, It took telecom industry by storm and others competitors like Airtel, Jio, idea etc. are fighting for their survival. Now, Jio plans to launch the services in television industry can give a new boost to Television sector.
