Srinagar: Wreath laying ceremony held for Kupwara's slain heroes

A wreath laying ceremony was held here with full honors for Captain Ayush Yadav, Naik Venkata Ramanna and Subedar Bhup Singh, who lost their lives in the attack on an Army camp by terrorists.

The three bravehearts on Thursday made the supreme sacrifice for the country when terrorists launched an ambush on the Panzgam camp, near Chowkibal in Kupwara district.

Seven other soldiers were also injured in the attack. Two terrorists were neutralised.

Twenty-four-year-old Captain Ayush Yadav hailed from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Naik B Venkata Ramana, 38 , was a resident of Kancherlapalem, Vizag. Subedar Bhoop Singh Gujjar, 46, was from Kherla Bujurg in Dausa district of Rajasthan.
