jeemain.nic.in; Less than 24 hours to go for JEE Mains 2016 results, scorecard

The JEE Mains 2016 results will be declared on the official website on 27 April, 2016. That gives engineering aspirants less than 24 hours to rest.

The JEE Mains results will be used to shortlist candidates for IITs, NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes.

Last year, the JEE results were declared at around 3PM. In 2014, the results were declared at midnight, much to despair of nervous aspirants.

This year, the CBSE has not updated the timing for the results yet. Candidates can check their results and Paper 1 scores on the official JEE website - jeemain.nic.in.

Chances are that the JEE website will experience an immediate overload. And like every year, the heavy user traffic may render the site difficult to access for some.

About 1.5 lakh top performers will be shortlisted for the 18 Indian Institutes of Management (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.

The CBSE is expected to release the JEE Mains 2016 All India Rank (AIR) by 30 April, 2016. The rank list will be prepared taking two factors into account:

1. Class 12 marks - 40 per cent weightage

2. JEE scores - 60 per cent weightage

The JEE Advanced 2016 will be conducted on 22 May. Registration for the same commences on 29 April.
