Bandra biker killed: Road contractor should be blacklisted says BJP

After a 36-year-old biker from Mumbai's Bandra died on a pothole-ridden road from Dahanu to Jawahar Road, Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) MP Manda Vijay on Monday said the road contractors of the area should be blacklisted.

Vijay told ANI, "The contractors of these roads should be blacklisted. The corporation of the area should effectively investigate the matter and take an action against the contractor."

Meanwhile, National Congress Party ( NCP) MP Vidya Chavan condemned the tragedy and commented on the increasing corruption in the state.

"The incident is highly condemnable. Blacklisted contractors should not be given contracts of roads and highways. Corruption in the state is extremely high", she said.

Thirty-six year old Jagruti died on the spot on Sunday due to severe injuries.

The accident took place around 9 a m when Jagruti along with two other women was on a road trip to Dahanu.
