Insta sensation loses 80 percent vision after surgery to change her eye colour
The 32-year-old Argentinian model, who lives in Miami, Florida and very popular on social media platforms like Instagram, Nadinne Bruna recently underwent surgery to insert silicone implants to change eye colour. However, it did not go well and she lost 80 percent of her vision in right eye and nearly 50 percent in the left eye. Silicone implants are illegal in the US so she went to Bogota, Colombia to get it done.
She first underwent eye surgery in the year 2016 but since then she has been troubled and experiencing pain in her eye. For months her eyesight was blurred and she was constantly having redness and severe pain.
In 2017 she came back to Colombia and underwent further treatment to repair the damage done by the laser treatment. In November a team of doctors tried removing the implants and treat glaucoma but unfortunately, she lost 80 percent of her vision. Bruna has risen to fame on Instagram.
Bruna hasn't filed a legal suit against the doctor as she said her financial position isn't good enough to do so. But, she has posted her pictures on Instagram to spread the awareness about the controversial procedure.
She shared that post the surgery, she is not able to see anything properly. Her eye constantly turns red and itches a lot. She said, "My pupils, they can't adjust to light anymore so I'm very photosensitive now too.
