Nestle released berry-fruitness pink Kitkat with Ruby chocolate in United Kingdom

Nestle UK is launching a new flavor for its iconic 4-finger chocolate and Tesco will release it exclusively starting April 16. Tesco, a mutinational grocery chain will release the chocolate soon.

It is a new innovation that Kitkat Ruby has decided to launch. This new launch underlines the company's commitment to growing its confectionery brands for its millions of consumers.

Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestlé UK says, "We know that a new type of KitKat is a really big deal and we are very excited to be able to offer a different type of chocolate for KitKat fans to try."

Alex Gonnella explained that it took only four months to develop the new Ruby Kitkat. The Ruby Chocolate was publicly introduced in September 2017.

The new Ruby Kitkat chocolate will be coated with pink color and is made from Ruby beans. The beans have an intense berry-fruitness taste that is not bitter, milky, or sweet.

The pink color won't require an additional artificial color or flavouring to achieve the required color. Ruby beans come from different regions across the globe, including the Ivory Coast, Ecuador, and Brazil.

Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut devoted more than a decade to invent Ruby chocolate. The task to make this new chocolate involved lot of research and collaboration with Germany's Jacobs University. The chocolate underwent testing at various centres across UK, United States, China, and Japan.

According to the sources, "Ruby chocolate meets a consumer need no chocolate ever did before."

Pablo Perversi, chief innovation, quality, and sustainability officer at Barry Callebaut says, "Consumers across the world will be intrigued by the unique taste of this crispy delight."

The Ruby Kitkat was first introduced in Japan And South Korea. The product joined other Japanese flavours which includes the famous KitKat Maccha Green Tea, purple sweet potato, edamame bean, and wasabi.

Ruby chocolate is the fourth type of chocolate next to Dark, Milk, and White.
