The Global Desi girl of India Priyanka Chopra skipped IIFA 2017 awards reportedly to spend some quality time with her family and friends.

A recent report in Mumbai Mirror has claimed that IIFA authorities wanted Priyanka to host a small segment in IIFA, but the actress denied because of gender wage gap. Reportedly, PeeCee turns down the offer because of remuneration issue, as male actors were offered more money just for sitting in the event.

Priyanka Chopra is now a global superstar, so it is not yet clear if she skipped IIFA due to her well-known name among Hollywood ladies or she denied to be a part of IIFA because of feminist point of view.

Priyanka became a well-known face in the western world after the hit series Quantico and her Hollywood debut Baywatch.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is busy with her hit TV show Quantico and her new Hollywood projects Isn't it Romantic and A Kid Like Jake.
