As expected, this year's edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA 2016) belonged to the Bajirao and Mastani of Bollywood, with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone taking home the awards for Best Actor (Male) and Best Actor (Female) for their performances in the opulent period drama.
While Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagged the Best Director award for Bajirao Mastani, Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan pipped Bhansali's period epic to win the award for the Best Film of 2015.
Priyanka Chopra was also honoured with a special award. She took home the IIFA 2016 Woman Of the Year Award.
The glitzy evening was hosted by Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar. The event was peppered with performances by Salman Khan, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha.

The four-day gala - which celebrates the magic of Hindi cinema at an international destination every year - began on 23 June.
