First Look: Shraddha Kapoor as Haseena

Shraddha starrer Haseena is set to release in July

Apoorva Lakhia's film Haseena has Shraddha Kapoor playing a character said to be inspired by Haseena Parkar, the sister of dreaded don, Dawood Ibrahim. The biopic will also have Shraddha's real brother Siddhanth playing her reel brother for the first time.

Reportedly before starting the film, Apoorva met lot of people to do research on Haseena and has taken some real life incidents too in the film. The film was supposed to go on floors last year and Apoorva had then announced that Sonakshi Sinha was to do the title role. However things did not work out between two of them and Sonakshi decided to leave the project before it could start. So it took some time for Apoorva to look for another actress and finalise the cast. The project was delayed for few months.

The makers have also announced the release date July 14 along with first poster and it is going to clash with Saif Ali Khan's Chef which is a remake of American film with the same name. Chef stars Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead and is directed by Raja Krishna Menon.
