#CatchFlashBack: When Salman Khan & Sanjay Dutt tipped their hats to Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor

Time and again, Amitabh Bachchan has regaled viewers with his drunkard acts. And the legendary actor has given us something new in each role. Be it the comic drunk in Amar Akhbar Anthony and Namak Halal to his depressed alcoholic act in Sharaabi, to his drunkard acts in Satte Pe Satta and Naseeb - the versatile Big B has aced them all.

Many actors tried to mimic Big B's drunken acts. But few could get it as spot on as Bachchan did. Most Bollywood actors who made their acting debut in the 90s are self-confessed fans of Amitabh Bachchan.

One of the many tributes to Bachchan's drunken act is the title song from Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt's Chal Mere Bhai (2001).

While the film was a Box Office flop, the title song Chal Mere Bhai, became a runaway hit. The song, featuring Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, was a hat-tip to the song of the same name from the 1981 film Naseeb - starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.

The songs have a number of things in common. Both are based on a character trying to convince his intoxicated brother to stop drinking. Both songs are set in Mumbai. What's more, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan after him, sang for their parts in the songs, where they played the drunk men.

As a tribute, the Salman-Sanjay Chal Mere Bhai song also includes a dialogue from bhai himself. Salman, whose character in the film aspires to be an actor, says that apart from him, there are only two actors in India - Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar.
