A report from The Verge claims that Apple's newly launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are producing a weird hissing noise when under heavy load.
Lately, the flagship category of smartphones is under major scrutiny due to the Note 7 fiasco. The device proved to be a major debacle for Samsung and has brought the sales of their flagship device to a halt.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are enjoying the undivided attention of the premium segment even before hitting most markets of the world but this new issue might hamper their sales in markets like India.
This new 'hissing'-gate might not be as bad as Samsung's explosive batteries but it can very well turn this issue into another iPhone-meme.
According to the report, a small amount of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users have claimed that their phone makes a weird hissing noise when the processor is under heavy load.
Apple hasn't responded to the issue so far but has acknowledged the complaints and replaced the units.
Though the company is yet to clarify its stance, if the number of complaints rise, the sales might get delayed in a few markets including India.
Here's a tweet from Stephen Hackett who recorded the sound:
