Arundhati Bhattacharya, who became the first woman to head the country's largest lender in 2013, has completed her four-year tenure at the helm of the State Bank of India (SBI). She was given a year's extension in October last year to complete the merger of SBI with its associates and Bharatiya Mahila Bank.
Although reviving lending activities across the country is one of the major tasks she has left unfinished, it is worthwhile to take a look at the bank's performance during her tenure.
