Fashion brand Chanel has been slammed online for including a €1,260 boomerang as part of their 2017 Spring/Summer collection.
The item, branded as a luxury sporting accessory, has been labeled as insensitive towards indigenous Australian culture by Twitter users.
Boomerangs are classed as an important symbol of Australia's Aboriginal heritage and play a huge part indigenous history.
As US makeup artist Jeffree Star posted pictures of himself with the item online, one twitter user pointed out that it costs 10% of the average income of an indigenous Australian.
