Gaining rapid popularity on YouTube, the video of ‘Hue Bechain’ from the upcoming romantic film Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha (EHTEDT) garnering over 2.5 million views in few days of its launch was suddenly blocked by YouTube. Incidentally this film also brings Nadeem (of Nadeem-Shravan fame) back in a formidable manner after a long gap. Nadeem has been the biggest grosser in music since over two decades right from Aashiqui.

Producer and director Suneel Darshan is all set to roll out with his next musical mystery - Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha featuring his son Shiv Darshan opposite debutante Natasha Fernandes which is due for theatrical release shortly. But, more recently the makers of the film have been facing issues, with the track ‘Hue Bechain’ which was rapidly gaining popularity was suddenly removed. In fact within a few days of its launch on their YouTube channel, the song was blocked after it was flagged by unknown IP address it as ‘inappropriate’ with the notice showing. After several appeals, YouTube reinstated the video that too after 2 days of being blocked and most shockingly this time displaying only 1.5 million views.

Talking about the same the film’s director Suneel Darshan adds, “It's an outright sabotage of my rights, and this is intentionally inflicted upon me to cause me severe financial losses. This is only happening because we have a strong music track record, as well as there is very strong music score within this movie.” Further talking about the damage the sudden blocking of the video did and the action being taken Darshan says, “Such hindrances cause damage right from the roots. This is very unfair. We need the government to take this cause up for people to do fair business in the country. Our production company has filed a complaint against sabotage of with wilful criminal intent to cause him huge financial loss with the Cyber Crime Department that has offered absolute support and is investigating into the issue about who could be behind this nuisance.”

Continuing his vent about someone sabotaging his project Suneel Darshan goes on to add, “People in powerful positions are not easy to lay hands on. It would be unfair to name someone who could possibly behind this, however much I may mentally have kind of indication, but without confirmed evidence I am helpless. Any person would be disturbed when someone is affecting your flow or supremacy in business. Apart from huge financial loss on YouTube, this incident has exposed the vulnerability of good music and videos online. I would like to make a very fervent plea something that is taken up by the media that has the strength to take my voice to the biggest people in power, so that genuine filmmakers like me can keep making good films.”
