Shiv Sena warns CM of communal conspiracy

Alleging there is a political conspiracy afoot, in light of recent developments in the state, the Shiv Sena has said that a storm is hovering over the state and the government must be vigilant. The party has also supported NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who was targeted by the activists of Rashtriya Samaj Party (RSP).

Naming some of the recent developments in the state, the party said some powers could be working behind the curtain to disturb social harmony in the state. “Is the current situation in the state a political conspiracy Is someone trying to destabilise the state and set it afire ” asked Saamana, the party mouthpiece, in its editorial on Saturday.

“The Maratha rallies are a kind of ‘high-alert’ warning for the state government. Bahujan-Dalit rallies are also being planned in the state. Mr Jankar’s statements have added fuel to the already tense atmosphere. But the recent happenings like the violent agitation in Nashik, ink-throwing in Baramati Hostel, Jankar-Pawar conflict and the subsequent vandalism do not look spontaneous in nature. There is something cooking behind the curtains and the government should be careful about this, said the editorial.
