Delhi Metro to commence work on Dahisar corridor

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be starting groundwork on the 18-km-long Dahisar-DN Nagar Metro-2A after monsoon.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be starting groundwork on the 18-km-long Dahisar-DN Nagar Metro-2A after monsoon.

The project of 18-km long Metro-2A corridor is being carried out by the DMRC on behalf of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the MMRDA will award contracts for the project in the next two months.

“The completion of evaluation of the bidding and the awarding of the project will be completed by September and the work on the project will start by October,” said a DMRC official.

The DMRC has received bids from nine companies who have bided for the two packages in which there will be two companies which will be given one package each to construct the viaduct and design the stations for the project.

“We have received bids from nine companies in which we have now started the technical evaluation of the biddings and once the technical biddings are completed we will further shortlist the bidders for the financial biddings,” said a DMRC official.

The nine companies which have bided for the project include Reliance Infra, Larsen & Toubro, Simplex Infrastructure, and YFC projects.
