Kalam memorial

Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was popular among people, politicians and technocrats alike. Only he could easily straddle the binary of being the “missile man” of India as well as the “people’s President”. However, since the controversy over renaming Delhi's Aurangzeb Road after Kalam, work is yet to commence on a proposed memorial at his burial site in Ramanathapuram even though it's been a year since he passed away. It would be a great service to the man and his ideals if we speed up construction of the memorial.
