Hockey hits low

India’s quarter-final loss to Belgium in hockey has let the nation down. India began with a promise, but had a painfully slow meltdown and allowed Belgium to come back strongly in the third and the fourth quarter. It kept pushing the Indian players back and forced them to play a very defensive game. India didn’t play to its potential and allowed the dream of bagging an Olympic medal to slip away. India’s coach Roelant Oltmans needs to do some introspection while our players must work really hard and perform well in the next coming tournaments.
